Eversheds Sutherland with the buyers in the partial acquisition of Kemoil

Eversheds Sutherland advised Mekatrade Asia Singapore and CI Resources, Australia, with regard to a transaction to acquire a 50% stake in Kemoil, a Geneva based oil-products trading company, for a commitment of approximately CHF 5 million.

Kemoil operates a trading business of commodities, particularly refined oils, between major producers and customers in West Africa. The transaction further implements the diversification strategy of CI Resources.

The Eversheds Sutherland team on the transaction consisted of lead partner Oliver Beldi (Switzerland, m&a, pictured), Patrick Eberhardt (Switzerland, trade) and Lorenz Raess (Switzerland, m&a).

The acquisition completion is expected on 1 July 2021 subject to standard conditions precedent for transactions of this nature.
