Bär & Karrer advises Starlab on the acquisition of Life Systems Design

Starlab International, a subsidiary of Eppendorf SE, acquired all shares in Life Systems Design. Life Systems Design sells high quality consumables and instruments for life science research. Starlab is the producer of the unique TipOne pipette tip system that has been designed to fit all popular pipettes without any loss of accuracy or precision.

Bär & Karrer acted as legal advisor to Starlab international in this transaction. The team was co-led by partner Raphael Annasohn (pictured left) and associate Carlo Hunter (pictured right) and further included Djawad Kleist and Yascha Fengler (all m&a), as well as Susanne Schreiber, Kerim Tbaishat and Fabian Capt (all tax).

Starlab Group was advised internally by Dr. Matthias Abendroth (Head of Corporate & Commercial Law) and Dr. Julien Schlagowski (Corporate Legal Counsel) from the Legal, IP & Compliance Team, led by Dr. Catharina Lodemann (Eppendorf SE).
