Four new partners at Walder Wyss

As of January 2025, Walder Wyss had added four partners to its teams: Téo Genecand, Christian Hagenand Hugh Reeves were promoted to partners, while Jamar E. Brown joined the firm as a partner in Geneva from Lenz & Staehelin. Additionally, Angela Diener and Albane Selimi have been promoted to counsel. Kerstin Arnesson, Joffrey Dobosz, Lena Götzinger, Vangelis Kalaitzidakis, Julia Lehner, Nadja D. Leuthardt, Laurent Schmidt, Matthieu Seydoux, and Mathieu Zufferey have been promoted to managing associates.

The profiles

Jamar E. Brown is a member of the dispute resolution and private clients groups in Geneva. He represents international organizations in employment disputes and advises on internal investigations, disciplinary matters, and appeals. Before joining Walder Wyss he worked from 2007 to 2024 at Lenz & Staehelin. Jamar E. Brown also specializes in regulatory compliance for trust companies and family offices.

Téo Genecand works as a partner in the Dispute Resolution practice of Geneva. Between 2013 and 2023 he was employed at Lenz & Staehelin. His work covers all forms of commercial disputes. He is also frequently involved in white collar crime matters, estate disputes, enforcement proceedings related to the financial industry as well as asset tracing and recovery matters. He provides strategic advice in pre-litigation phases and acts before civil and criminal Courts.

Christian Hagen advises clients on all questions of contract law, commercial and corporate law as well as health and medical law. He specializes in national and international M&A transactions of non-listed companies (private M&A) – including venture capital and private equity transactions, management buyouts (MBO) and financing rounds. His particular focus is on projects in the healthcare and life sciences. In addition, he advises corporate clients on legal matters related to their daily business, corporate law (foundation, capital increase and change as well as liquidation of all kinds of companies), and on questions of group structuring and financing.

Hugh Reeves is active in the areas of technology transactions, intellectual property, data law and commercial contracts. He was employed at Kronbichler & Tourette from 2011 to 2015. He provides guidance on complex matters pertaining to technology-centric contracts, the structuring and enforcement of IP portfolios, as well as digitalization, AI and Internet regulations. Hugh Reeves assists his clients, across all industries, with their entry or expansion in the Swiss market. He regularly speaks and publishes in his fields of expertise and participates in national and international professional organizations.
