Affidea acquires Uroviva: the advisors

Niederer Kraft Frey (NKF) advised outpatient healthcare provider Affidea on the acquisition of Uroviva Group.

Moreover, Advestra advised German Equity Partners IV, a fund managed by the independent German investment company ECM Equity Capital Management, and other sellers on the operation.

As effect of the deal, the buyer almost doubles its size, going from 17 to 33 centres and from 450 to 700 employees.

The context

Affidea specialises in out-of-hospital diagnostic services, with a dedicated breast cancer care pathway as one of its most developed branches.

With the acquisition of Uroviva Group, a network of medical specialists, combining top-level expertise in urology, gynaecology, and oncology across 16 Swiss locations, Affidea unlocks the development of an adjacent prostate cancer pathway, opening up further synergies in pathology, diagnostic imaging and oncology.

The NKF team

Partner Philippe Weber (corporate/M&A), senior associate Samuel Hochstrasser (corporate/M&A) and partner Janine Reudt-Demont (healthcare/regulatory) led the NKF team on the matter, working alongside associate Pascal Hodel, junior associates Peter-Conradin Schreiber, Philipp Theiler and Matthias Zinniker (all corporate/M&A), associate Benedikt Hadorn (finance/M&A), associate Yannik Bleiker (real estate), associate Stephanie Huchler (employment) and junior associate Lukas Christen (healthcare/regulatory).

For German law matters, NKF collaborated with a team from Friedrich Graf von Westphalen Partner (FGVW) in Freiburg, led by Jan Henning Martens working with Tina Bieniek.
