Homburger with NZZ on sale of ZFF and Frame Cinema

Homburger advised Neue Zürcher Zeitung (NZZ) on the divestment of Zurich Film Festival (ZFF) as part of a management buyout dating July 2025.

The context

After ten years under NZZ, festival director Christian Jungen led a new group of investors to take-over ZFF. Moreover the Swiss cinema company Kinokoni acquired NZZ’s Frame Cinema – which will continue its collaboration with Zurich Film Festival.
