Signed, Sealed, Weekend – Friday, Sept. 5
Welcome back to Signed, Sealed, Weekend, we’re on with our first newsletter episode after the summer break. Let’s dive right-into what happened this past week all across the Swiss legal market.
Starting from a deal which involved several firms. Lenz & Staehelin advised software and cloud solutions provider SoftwareOne throughout closing of a CHF 1.26 billion syndicated financing, with Niederer Kraft Frey representing the lenders. The syndicate arranging the operation included BNP Paribas, UBS Switzerland, UniCredit and Zürcher Kantonalbank as well as a group of international and Swiss financial institutions. The deal also saw Wiersholm and and Wikborg Rein acting on Norwegian law aspects respectively for the lenders and for SoftwareOne.
We now move on and report the news of MLL Legal advised German publishing house Olympia-Verlag and its affiliate kicker ventures on a strategic joint venture with Ringier Sports Media Group. The newborn Swiss company, RSMG kicker Schweiz, aims at developing a new digital sports ecosystem for Switzerland.
Our final news highlights is the one of Kellerhals Carrard, advising Ricola throughout its latest product expansion. The new product has been developed in collaboration with Waterdrop, an Austrian hydration brand in which Ricola invested.
