AgEagle Aerial Systems acquires Parrot Group’s senseFly. The advisors

AgEagle Aerial Systems, an industry-leading provider of drones, sensors and software, and Parrot, a leading European drone group, have signed a definitive agreement under which AgEagle shall acquire senseFly, a Parrot Group wholly-owned subsidiary, in a cash and stock transaction valued at USD 23 million.

Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Lausanne, senseFly employs approximately 90 people and develops and produces a proprietary line of eBee-branded, high performance, fixed wing drones for professional use.  senseFly has generated total annual revenues of approximately USD 12.5 million in 2020.

Bär & Karrer acted as Swiss legal advisor to AgEagle alongside Carlton Fields in this transaction. The team included Martin Anderson (pictured) and Arnaud Philippe (both m&a), Laura Widmer, Nadia Smahi and Laura Rubeli (all employment), Christoph Suter and Alice Johnson (both tax), Tobias Rebmann (antitrust) as well as Jonas Bornhauser (ip).
