Hugo Barbier to become new partner at Peter&Kim
Hugo Barbier (pictured) is set to become partner at Peter&Kim in January 2025, joining the Geneva-based office of the firm.

The profile
Professor of private law and criminal sciences at the University of Aix Marseille in France, Hugo Barbier has extensive experience as counsel, arbitrator, and consultant, and acted as such in multiple international institutions and arbitration bodies such as ICC, LCIA, SCC, HKIAC, and SIAC. A career focused on cross-judicial and investment disputes across multiple continents and countries.
Prof. Hugo Barbier also has a long publishing history, with two books, one co-authored with Prof. Jaques Ghestin “A Treatise on Civil Law – A General Introduction” and a great number of articles pertaining to his expertise. He is also co-author with ICC Secretary-General Alexader Fessas, of the annual commentary on ICC awards published in the Journal du Droit International.
