Alexander Lacher is Chairman of Board at Fortuna Lebens-Versicherungs 

Generali’s Switzerland based general counsel Alexander Lacher (pictured) has been appointed as Chairman Of The Board Of Directors at Fortuna Lebens-Versicherungs, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Generali (Switzerland) Holding. 

The announcement was made by Lacher on a LinkedIn post saying: “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chairman Of The Board Of Directors at Fortuna Lebens-Versicherungs AG! Thanks to Generali for this unique opportunity and the continued trust put in me!” 

This month has also seen Lacher join the board of directors for Generali Investments Schweiz. 

Lacher is a veteran lawyer with more than 15 years of experience in the field of insurance. He joined Generali in April 2018 serving as general counsel and member of the executive board. During his career, Lacher held various roles of high importance including head of EY Switzerland’s insurance legal regulatory & compliance practice; deputy general counsel at investment management company Twelve Capital as well as head of corporate services at ÖKK Insurance company.  

In addition to his role at Generali, Lacher is currently serving as president of parliamentary supervisory board at Schwyzer Kantonalbank and as a committee member of Schweizerischer Versicherungsverband SVV.
