Vischer in successful asset repatriation following a hacking attack
A team from Vischer, led by partner Thomas Weibel (pictured), have taken part in the successful return of several million euros to Switzerland for a Swiss private bank, which had been transferred to an offshore jurisdiction due to falsified payment instructions. The forgeries were preceded by a hacking attack on the bank client’s external asset manager.
The Vischer team also comprised senior associate Nicole Brauchli and associate Prabhjot Singh.
