Baker McKenzie advises Swissroc on its acquisition in Geneva

Baker McKenzie advised Swissroc Asset Management on the acquisition of an office building in downtown Geneva from an institutional seller. The building is approx. 1,200 square meters in size, ideally situated in a strategic location, a stone’s throw from the famous Quai des Bergues, and offers excellent value-creation potential. Swissroc plans to carry out an extensive program of works to modernize and strategically reposition the asset. These works will be aimed, in particular, at improving the building’s energy efficiency.

Baker McKenzie advised the buyer on most legal aspects of the transaction with a team led by partner Charles Gschwind (real estate, pictured) that included Kim Jean Dachtler (associate, real estate, Geneva), Raphael Schneuwly (associate, real estate/Corporate, Zurich) and Valerie Bodevin (trainee lawyer, Geneva).
