Bär & Karrer advises Lagardère on the Acquisition of Marché International

As we have informed last 17 November 2022 here, Lagardère has acquired Marché International, a global multi-concept operator in the catering industry. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.

The sale completes the concentration process of the Mövenpick Group (the seller) which intends to focus on its core competencies in fine foods and wine in Central Europe. The Lagardère Group, in turn, wants to use the acquisition to increase its presence in Europe, especially in Germany.

Bär & Karrer has acted as Swiss legal advisor to Lagardère in this transaction. The team is being co-led by partner Christoph Neeracher (pictured left) and Luca Jagmetti (pictured right) and includes Thomas Rohde, Arnold Romero and Romina Lauper (all m&a), Laura Widmer and Luljeta Morina (both employment) as well as Alessia Suter (tax). Willkie Farr & Gallagher acted as international legal advisor to Lagardère in this transaction.
