Bär & Karrer Advises Mobiliar on the Acquisition of Flatfox

SMG Swiss Marketplace Group (SMG) is acquiring the majority interest in and exclusive control of Flatfox from Schweizerische Mobiliar Versicherungsgesellschaft (Mobiliar), the oldest private insurer in Switzerland. This step aims to support the further digitalization of the Swiss real estate sector. The Zurich-based Flatfox is an online platform for flat rentals.

Bär & Karrer acts as legal advisor to Mobiliar in this transaction. The team is co-led by partners Christoph Neeracher (pictured left) and Luca Jagmetti (pictured right) and further includes Carlo Hunter, Sacha Kanoff and Marc Bär (all M&A), Markus Wang (IP/IT), Mani Reinert (antitrust), Susanne Schreiber and Ricardo Marino (both tax) as well as Rehana Harasgama (data protection).
