Bär & Karrer advises on the sale of Confinale Group

Confinale Group, a Swiss-based consulting specialist for digital banking and solution for wealth management, has been sold to HLC Technologies UK. The subsidiary of IT services company HCL Technologies, has signed a definitive pact for acquisition of the Switzerland-based company. With this strategic acquisition, HCL will expand its footprint in the global wealth management market.

The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions, which are expected to be completed in the next few weeks.

Founded in 2012, Confinale Group focuses on IT consulting in key areas With offices in Switzerland, including Zurich, Zug and Geneva, and also in Dusseldorf and London, Confinale works with a slew of leading banks and wealth advisors.

Bär & Karrer assisted as legal advisor to all sellers in this transaction. The m&a team was co-led by partner Christoph Neeracher (pictured right) and Raphael Annasohn (pictured left) and included Lukas Bründler and Romina Lauper. Raoul Stocker and Patrick Schmid (both tax), Mani Reinert (competition) as well as Rehana Harasgama (data protection) were also involved.
