Bär & Karrer Advises Sudarshan Chemical Heubach acquisition

Bär & Karrer has acted as Swiss legal advisor to Sudarshan Chemical Industries Limited (SCIL) in its acquisition of the Heubach Group, a major pigment provider with a 200-year history in the industry. This strategic move involves both asset and share purchase transactions, aimed at strengthening SCIL’s position as a global leader in high-performance pigment solutions, with an already expansive network across more than 85 countries.

The acquisition of Heubach, which became the world’s second-largest pigment company after integrating Clariant’s pigment business in 2022, positions SCIL to expand its global influence in colorant solutions. Completion of the deal is contingent on regulatory approvals and SCIL shareholder consent, along with other standard closing conditions.
