Bär & Karrer appoints new heads of capital markets practice
Bär & Karrer announced that three partners Dr. Ralph Malacrida, Dr. Urs Kägi and Lukas Roesler have been appointed co-heads of the firm’s Capital Markets Practice. The long-standing members of the practice replace former head Thomas Reutter, who is leaving the firm.
Dr. Ralph Malacrida (pictured left) has been a partner of the firm since 2000. He has experience in advising clients on capital markets, M&A, and finance transactions. As part of his capital markets practice, he has advised issuers and financial institutions in numerous equity and debt capital market transactions, including on initial public offerings, capital increases, convertible bonds, mandatory convertible bonds, and straight bonds.
Dr. Urs Kägi (pictured centered) is a capital markets and corporate/M&A expert and has been a partner of Bär & Karrer since 2014. He has particular experience in equity capital markets and has advised issuers on capital increases, initial public offerings, new listings, dual listings and cross-border issues related to foreign listings, international issuance programs, ongoing disclosure and other securities laws issues.
Lukas Roesler (pictured right) is a capital markets and finance expert with more than 15 years of professional experience in this field and in-depth industry experience from his previous positions in corporate and investment banking at a major Swiss bank. He joined the firm’s partnership in 2019 and specializes in advising issuers, borrowers, investors and lenders on all aspects of capital markets and financing transactions.
