Bär & Karrer advises Genui on the acquisition of Labor Team W

The investment company Genui, along with a team of industry experts with a background in laboratory medicine, acquired Labor Team W, one of the five largest private medical laboratories in Switzerland.  The laboratory provides professional services for the prevention, diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of diseases throughout Switzerland.

Bär & Karrer acted as legal advisor to Genui in this transaction with a team including Christoph Neeracher (pictured), Philippe Seiler, Elisabeth Rinderknecht and Patrick Zumsteg (all M&A), Susanne Schreiber and Martin Leu (both Tax), Lukas Roesler and Clarissa Marxer (both Financing), Thomas Stoltz and Ignaz Müller (both Notarial Services), Laura Rubeli (Employment) as well as Tobias Rebmann (IP/IT and Competition).

The new owners odjective is to further strengthen and expand Labor Team W’s position as a major diagnostics company in the Swiss Market. The Acquisition will be over the entire infrastructure of the central laboratory in Goldach (SG) as well as the commitment of the 400 employees.
