Bär & Karrer Facilitates Miele and Metall Zug’s Joint Venture

Bär & Karrer advises Miele o the Establishment of a Joint Venture in the Fields of Infection Control and Life Science 

Miele and Metall Zug have reached an agreement outlining the establishment of a new joint venture in the domains of infection control and life sciences. Under the arrangement, Miele will contribute the Steelco Group, while Metall Zug will contribute Belimed and Belimed Life Science. The joint venture, headquartered in Zug, will see Miele holding a 67% stake and Metall Zug a 33% stake. The transaction is anticipated to close in the first half of 2024, pending regulatory approvals. 

Bär & Karrer acted as a Swiss legal and tax advisor to Miele in the implementation and planning of this transaction.
