Bär & Karrer with DBAG on MAIT acquisition
DBAG Fund VIII, a private equity fund advised by Deutsche Beteiligungs (DBAG), has entered in an agreement to acquire MAIT Group from 3i Group. In connection with the deal, Bär & Karrer is representing the buyer – alongside an A&O Shearman team acting as international counsel. Wenger Vieli is the advisor to the selling part, 3i Group.
MAIT
Headquartered in Rottweil, Germany, MAIT provides IT services to mid-market clients in the DACH region. The company employs over 900 people across 25 locations in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Benelux countries.

Raphael Annasohn (pictured above) is at the lead of the Bär & Karrer team on the matter, working alongside Julian Lindt, Sean Schläpfer and Fabian Uebelhart (all M&A), Sandra Schaffner (employment), Mani Reinert and Martin Werner (both competition), as well as Ruth Bloch-Riemer and Sébastien Di Natale (both pension/social security).
