Bonnard Lawson with Perennial on sale to Howden
Bonnard Lawson advised Perennial and its shareholders in connection with the sale of the company to Howden, a leading global insurance group. Howden, an insurance brokerage group, is acquiring Perennial a company based near Lausanne and in Fribourg. The deal provides Howden with a new regional hub in French-speaking Switzerland.
Perennial, founded in 2005 by Sacha Baumli, focuses on corporate insurance business, with an emphasis on personal insurance, occupational pension solutions, and absence management. The founder will assume the future management and development of the Suisse Romande region for Howden and will remain chairman of the board of directors of Perennial. Cédric Gomez, also a partner and member of the Board, will in the future be responsible for Howden’s Affinity business in French-speaking Switzerland. As a result of the acquisition, Mr. Baumli and Mr. Gomez become joint shareholders of Howden Groupe.
