Bratschi with The Chocolate on the Pillow on Hotel Aarauerhof deal
Bratschi advised German multi-brand hotel group The Chocolate on the Pillow Group in connection with its takeover of the traditional Hotel Aarauerhof in Aarau.
The acquisition represents the group’s second operation of this kind in Switzerland, following the Mercure Zürich City deal.
The hotel
After a comprehensive renovation, the building will reopen under the Moxy brand as part of the global hotel chain Marriott Group.
The Moxy Aarau will feature around 145 modern rooms across a total area of approximately 3,750 square metres. Moreover, the ground floor will host an open space with a reception, bar, and lounge café. Plans for the basement section include an event space and a fitness area.

In connection with the deal, Bratschi assisted and supported The Chocolate on the Pillow Group on the contract negotiations, with the firm’s Ion Eglin (pictured) leading the mandate.
