CMS advises DER Touristik Suisse on Golf and Travel’s acquisition
DER Touristik Suisse, a group company of the German REWE Group, has acquired Golf and Travel, one of the leading golf tour operators in Switzerland. In addition to organizing golf tours in Switzerland and abroad, the company also offers inbound tour operating under the Golf in Switzerland brand.
DER Touristik Suisse is part of the DER Touristik Group, the tourism division of the REWE Group, which, among other things, operates as a tour operator in Switzerland under the Kuoni and Kuoni Specialists brands. With this acquisition, DER Touristik Suisse is expanding its range of sports travel products and opening up a new business segment with considerable market potential: there are almost 100,000 licensed golfers in Switzerland.
