CMS advises Haufe on the sale of Umantis Talent to Abacus

The Haufe Group, a renowned B2B provider of integrated business and workplace solutions, has sold its talent management business to Swiss software firm Abacus Research. The transaction covers its subsidiary Haufe-umantis and umantis Deutschland. The official signing of the deal has now taken place, after the preliminary agreement was inked at the start of April. The financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.

A CMS team headed by lead partners Jörg Zätzsch and Jesko Nobiling (both from CMS Germany) advised the Haufe Group on all legal aspects of the transaction. The two CMS partners and their team previously advised Haufe on the sale of tax start-up Steuerbot to Taxfix, a tax platform. Investors, start-ups and founders of tech companies regularly rely on CMS’s expertise. From the CMS Switzerland, the team was formed by partner Stefan Brunnschweiler (pictured left), counsel Andrea Relly (pictured right, both m&a, corporate) and partner Mark Cagienard (tax).
