CMS advises RUAG on the sale of RUAG Environment to Thommen Group

The RUAG MRO Holding has sold RUAG Environment to Thommen Group. RUAG Environment, headquartered in Altdorf UR is the Swiss market leader for a comprehensive solution in the environmentally friendly, sustainable and resource-saving disposal and recycling of electrical and electronic equipment, packaging materials, hazardous waste, dangerous goods and industrial waste. RUAG Environment operates its own processing plants in Altdorf and Thun and closely collaborates with a total of 19 dismantling sites throughout Switzerland

With the sale to Thommen Group and the resulting synergies, operations can be maintained for the time being. In the course of the next three years, operations will be transferred to the Thommen Group’s enterprises, in particular Immark. Thus, a Swiss solution in the field of electronics recycling is sustainably ensured.
