David Rosenthal joins VISCHER as new partner

David Rosenthal, one of the main Swiss experts on data and technology law, has joined VISCHER as head of Data & Privacy group expanding the technology law practice of the firm. He will also set up a new practice group for internal investigations and eDiscovery. Together with Rolf Auf der Maur, Rosenthal will further develop the technology law practice group (TMT).

For approximately 20 years, he has been advising companies and authorities on all aspects of data protection and digital business, as well as IT projects. Rosenthal is Secretary of the Swiss Association of Corporate Data Protection (VUD) and the Cross-border eDiscovery Privacy & Investigations Association (CeDIV), and has been a lecturer at the University of Basel since 1999 and at ETH Zurich since 2006. Before moving to Homburger in 2001 to work as a consultant, where his roles included setting up and managing the data protection practice, he worked as a software developer, journalist and legal advisor.
