Walder Wyss’s Diana Akikol appointed to international court of arbitration 

Walder Wyss partner Diana Akikol (pictured) has been appointed to the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Paris as new member for Switzerland with effect from 1 July 2021.  

Akikol was formally appointed to the ICC Court on 11 June 2021 by the World Council, ICC’s supreme governing body, upon nomination of ICC Switzerland. The appointment is effective for a three-year term (2021-2024). 

Diana Akikol represents clients in commercial arbitrations and regularly sits as an arbitrator, often as president. Her expertise extends to both institutional arbitrations and ad hoc arbitrations. 

Prior to joining Walder Wyss, Akikol was a founding partner of ABR Avocats. She also served as a senior associate in the arbitration practice group of Lenz & Staehelin. Earlier in her career Akikol was a junior associate followed by a court clerk position at the District Court V of Berne.
