Diego Manzetti becomes AIG’s head of legal EMEA

As of January 2021, Diego Manzetti (pictured) becomes head of legal EMEA in AIG. The lawyer has been in charge of AIG’s Europe region since 2018. The latter has now merged with the Middle East and Africa region to form the new EMEA region, which excludes the United Kingdom: Manzetti will thus cover the new broader EMEA region.

In his new role, he will lead the new region’s legal department. His priority for 2021 will be to streamline the organisation and ensure we have consistent approach on key legal topics. Manzetti will report to the EMEA CEO and UK / EMEA General Counsel. Manzetti will also lead a legal team resulting from the merger of the two regions consisting of 31 lawyers examined in 17 different jurisdictions.

In AIG since May 2011, he has held various roles of increasing responsibility. Before joining AIG in 2011, Manzetti worked as an associate at Norton Rose Fulbright law firm.
