Baker McKenzie advised elleXX universe on its Seed Financing Round

elleXX universe, an independent money media platform for women, founded by Nadine Jürgensen, Patrizia Laeri and Simone Züger hass (pictured left),  completed its seed financing round, with the advice of Baker McKenzie.

elleXX aims to close the gap in financial wealth between women and men by bringing together content and investment. Patrizia Laeri, ceo and co-founder of elleXX said, “Women-led startups received only 2.3% of venture capital funding in 2020. This seed financing is, therefore, a ground-breaking milestone. Only when the big money flows also reach women, will their ideas and products benefit society. Entrepreneurial courage should also be rewarded with fair conditions in the competition for investor money.”

Baker McKenzie acted as legal counsel to elleXX universe on all aspects of the transaction. The team was led by partner Markus Wolf (banking & finance, pictured) and included Cora Schmid (corporate) and Ansgar Schott (regulatory).
