Swiss Entrepreneurs acquire Werap Group. Bär & Karrer and CMS advise

The entrepreneurial couple Dr. Sara and Christoph Hürlimann as well as Peter Huber acquired the Werap Group headquartered in Bubikon from its founder Konrad Frischknecht as part of a succession planning arrangement. The Werap Group is a center of excellence for electronic products (EMS), rewinding goods, cable assembly and trading in power supplies.

The entrepreneurial couple Dr. Sara and Christoph Hürlimann as well as Peter Huber acquired the Werap Group headquartered in Bubikon from its founder Konrad Frischknecht as part of a succession planning arrangement. The Werap Group is a center of excellence for electronic products (EMS), rewinding goods, cable assembly and trading in power supplies. 

Under the new ownership, the company is to remain autonomous and independent and pursue a growth strategy. The company’s current 140 people working at 3 locations in Bubikon, Wetzikon and Gerstetten (Germany), will remain with the company. 

A team of CMS Switzerland led by partner Stephan Werlen provided comprehensive legal advice to founder and owner Konrad Frischknecht on the transaction. The CMS team also included associates Alexandra Stocker (corporate/m&a) and Thomas Zweifel (real estate). 

Bär & Karrer acted as legal advisor to Dr. Sara and Christoph Hürlimann as well as Peter Huber in this transaction.
