Eversheds Sutherland hires Faske as partner
Eversheds Sutherland Switzerland has appointed Michael Faske (pictured) as a new partner in its Zurich office, effective 1 October. The move expansds the firm’s governance, risk and compliance practice. Faske moves from Deloitte, where he spent close to twenty-seven years.
Background and expertise
Michael Faske specializes in governance, risk and compliance as well as forensic investigations in complex regulatory environments. Over the past 25 years, he has led strategic risk mitigation and compliance initiatives for Swiss and international corporations, developing expertise in forensic investigations, anti-financial crime, compliance management and fraud prevention.
Before joining Eversheds Sutherland, Faske served as a senior partner and practice leader at Big-4 accounting firms, where he built forensic services capabilities across the EMEIA region. In that role, he led cross-border investigations involving regulatory enforcement by FINMA, BaFin, the DOJ and the SEC, and established forensic data analytics and eDiscovery centres in Switzerland.
