Firmenich to acquire Drt from Ardian: the advisors

Firmenich, the Switzerland-based manufacturer of fragrances and flavors, announced to enter into exclusivity with Ardian (an independent private investment company), Tikehau Capital (France-based listed multi-asset manager firm) and family shareholders to acquire Les Dérivés Résiniques et Terpéniques (Drt), a France-based company engaged in the development of gum rosin and turpentine extracted from pine resin. The transaction will enable both the companies to work together, since Drt is already a supplier of Firmenich and thus, exploit the natural synergy between them.

Latham & Watkins acted as legal advisor to Ardian. The team included partners Gaëtan Gianasso and Alexander Crosthwaite (both corporate). White & Case acted as well as legal advisors to Ardian. The team included partner Saam Golshani (pictured) and counsel Julien Bensaid (both corporate).
