Homburger advises Raiffeisen Schweiz on €500m bond issuance
Homburger advised Raiffeisen Schweiz Genossenschaft on its issuance of EUR 500 million in 4.255% 8NC7 Fixed-to-Fixed Rate Bonds due 2034.
The bonds qualify as additional loss-absorbing capital, commonly referred to as bail-in bonds, under Swiss regulations applicable to systemically relevant banks.
Deal details
The bond issuance was managed by a group of joint lead managers comprising Deutsche Bank, DZ Bank, J.P. Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Raiffeisen Schweiz Genossenschaft, which did not participate in the books, and UBS Investment Bank. The structure of the bonds allows them to absorb losses in accordance with regulatory frameworks designed for banks deemed systemically significant within Switzerland’s financial sector.
