Intercity Group Holding new partnership with DBS Group – The Advisors

Intercity Group Holding real estate services company has signed a partnership with DBS Group, the Swiss subsidiary of the French Foncia Group, for their property management activities under the new brand IntercityGribi.

Within the framework of this partnership, Gribi management and Intercity management will continue to act as two separate legal entities. As part of this partnership, DBS Group takes over half of the shares of Intercity, allowing DBS Group to continue its development on the Swiss-German market.

 

The legal teams

Baker McKenzie has acted as legal counsel for Intercity Group Holding. The team was led by Alexander Wyss (partner, transactions / real estate, pictured above), and consisted of Daniel Kälin (associate, transactions / real estate), Eva-Maria Strobel (partner, ip tech), and Yannic Schönenberger (trainee lawyer, transactions).

 

Walder Wyss  has acted as legal counsel to DBS Group. The team has been co-led by Urs P. Gnos (Partner, Corporate/M&A, pictured left) and Nico Bernhard (Senior Associate, Corporate/M&A, pictured left) and further included Mark A. Reutter (Partner, RCTI), Reto Jacobs (Partner, Competition), André Kuhn (Managing Associate, real estate), Michael Kissling (Associate, Corporate/ M&A), Carmen Spichiger (Associate, Corporate/M&A), Gaurav Bhagwanani (Senior Associate, Employment) and Benno Fischer-Siddiqui (Associate, RCTI).

The partnership

DBS Group and Intercity Group will combine their experience in property management. The existing branch offices of Gribi management and Intercity management will operate as “pure players” under the IntercityGribi brand. All services other than property management services will continue to be provided by the existing brands of each of the two holding companies. They include, for DBS Group, the brands established in French-speaking Switzerland, Contrust real estate in Lucerne as well as Gribi Construction Management and Gribi Marketing in German-speaking Switzerland. For Intercity Group, these are the companies Wüst und Wüst, SPG Intercity Zurich, Hugo Steiner and Intercity Marketing.
