NKF with Ironman Group on its acquisition of Haute Route Series
Niederer Kraft Frey advised the Ironman Group, an operator of mass participation sports in the world, on the acquisition of premier multi-day cycling event series Haute Route as well as the Gravel Epic, a soon-to-launch multi-day gravel race event series, both organised by Switzerland based Haute Route.
With the acquisition of these two brands and series, the Ironman Group adds eight new cycling events to its existing portfolio of hundreds of events across 55+ countries that includes triathlon, road running, mountain biking, trail running, road cycling and gravel cycling.
As part of the acquisition, Ceo for the Haute Route Group, Julie Royer, will also join the leadership team at The Ironman Group as senior director of road cycling, and along with her team will continue spearheading both series.
The NKF team was led by m&a/finance partners Till Spillmann (pictured left) and Adrian Koller (pictured right), working with senior associate Andrea Giger and junior associates Dominique Sunitsch and Max Hoffet (all m&a/finance) as well as partner Nicolas Birkhäuser (antitrust/competition).
