Kellerhals Carrard assisted Neur.on on seed round

Neur.on AI Solutions has closed its seed round raising a total of CHF 1,6 million. The Fribourg-based LegalTech company is the first LegalTech startup focusing on legal translation and granting lawyers full control over the translation process. Conceived and designed in Switzerland while concurrently being shaped by international perspectives and global investors – this unique SAAS solution provides lawyers with a state-of-the-art AI ecosystem for legal translation, tailored to their specific needs. One of the company’s products named LexMachina, aTranslation Engine for Swiss Lawyers, is already being intensely used by large Swiss law firms, legal publishers and cantonal public authorities.

The funding round was led by the legal publisher Helbing Lichtenhahn, an ideal strategic investor with a wealth of legal data and an extensive distribution network. Neur.on was also supported by Capital Risque Fribourg, an investment fund financed by the State of Fribourg, as well as by seasoned entrepreneurs from around the world with extensive experience in LegalTech, law and finance.

The investor panel features London LegalTech wizard Ajay Patel, founder of HighQ, international bankruptcy and restructuring lawyer James Sprayregen, partner at Kirkland and Ellis, as well as the prominent Geneva banker and entrepreneur François Reyl.
