Lalive announces the elevation of 6 of its team members

Lalive has announced the promotion of Benoît Mauron and Sam Moss to the Lalive partnership as of 1 January 2022, as well as the promotion to counsel of arbitration associates Juliette Asso and Laura Azaria, and litigation associates Marion Binder and Simon Quedens.

 

Benoît Mauron (pictured top left) joined Lalive in 201. He specialises in litigation, representing clients in both civil and criminal Swiss proceedings, with a focus on domestic and cross border commercial disputes and fraud litigation, including asset recovery. Benoît is a member of the founding committee of FIRE Starters, a platform for fraud, insolvency, recovery and enforcement practitioners and frequently represents the firm as a speaker on these topics.

 

Sam Moss (pictured top right) joined Lalive in 2008. He practises in international commercial and investment treaty arbitration, specialising in the construction and energy sectors. He has strong expertise in the management of complex claims in relation to construction projects. He also acts as arbitrator. Moss is a founder and co-chair of YConstruction, an international group for young construction arbitration practitioners, and an officer of the International Bar Association’s International Construction Projects Committee.

 

Juliette Asso

 

Juliette Asso joined Lalive in Geneva in 2013. She specialises in international commercial arbitration, with a focus on complex disputes involving major infrastructure and construction projects in the energy, transportation, and telecom sectors.

 

 

Laura Azaria

 

Laura Azaria joined Lalive in 2014. She specialises in international commercial arbitration. She has extensive experience in contract disputes, with emphasis on infrastructure and construction projects, sales, distribution, M&A, joint venture and shareholders agreements. She also represents parties in arbitration-related court proceedings, including before the Swiss Federal Supreme Court.

 

 

Marion Binder

 

Marion Binder joined Lalive in 2017. She specialises in private client advisory and litigation work, advising and representing private clients in complex domestic and international inheritance and family law disputes.

 

 

Simon Quedens

 

Simon Quedens joined Lalive in 2015. His main areas of practice are corporate and commercial law, banking and finance, and litigation, with a focus on commercial, financial and corporate disputes, and white-collar crime.
