Lenz & Staehelin advises Helvetia Baloise on post-merger legal integrations

Lenz & Staehelin advised the combined Helvetia Baloise Group on the legal integration of its life and non-life insurance carriers as well as its asset management companies in Switzerland, following completion of the merger between SIX-listed insurance companies Helvetia Holding and Baloise Holding in December 2025 .

The legal and operational integration work involved the structuring, planning and implementation of several statutory mergers of the legal entities in Switzerland of the life and non-life insurance and asset management business as well as the reorganization of collective investment schemes. All mergers became effective on 1 July 2026.
