Lenz & Staehelin defended a Swiss bank against monetary claims

Lenz & Staehelin defended a Swiss bank against monetary claims raised by a banking software and outsourcing provider amounting to CHF 90 million plus interest. The dispute arose out of a M&A transaction regarding a former joint venture. In a decision of 7 June 2019, the Commercial Court of Zurich had dismissed the claim in its entirety. In a recently published decision of 21 February 2020 the Swiss Federal Supreme Court dismissed the claimant’s appeal without entering the merits of the case.

Lenz & Staehelin‘s team included partner Harold Frey (pictured) and counsel Martin Aebi (both Dispute Resolution) as well as associate Lukas Staub (Tmt and Outsourcing).
