Lenz & Staehelin: Vail Acquires Crans-Montana Mountain Resort

Vail Resorts has revealed plans to acquire an 84% ownership stake in Remontées Mécaniques Crans Montana Aminona (CMA), the entity managing the renowned Crans-Montana Mountain Resort in Switzerland. This acquisition includes an 80% ownership share in SportLife, the operator of a ski school within the resort, and 11 mountain-adjacent restaurants. The estimated valuation for these resort operations is CHF 118.5 million, with the transaction expected to conclude during the 2023-24 ski and ride season, pending customary closing conditions.
