Miguel Oural elected Bâtonnier of the Geneva Bar Association

Lenz & Staehelin partner Miguel Oural (pictured) has been elected Chairman of the Geneva Bar Association (Bâtonnier de l’Ordre des avocats de Genève) by the Bar’s general assembly, held on 10 May 2022. The appointment of the new ambassador for Geneva’s lawyers is effective 11 May 2022 and runs for 2 years.

Miguel Oural is a partner in the Litigation department and divides his time between our offices in Geneva and Lausanne. He is an expert on national and international complex litigation. Other areas of his practice include mutual legal assistance, internal investigations, tort law and commercial and contract law.

The Geneva Bar Association is the representative body for lawyers in Geneva and has more than 2000 members. Following Philippe de Coulon (1978-1980) and Benoît Chappuis (1998-2000), this is the third time in the firm’s history that one of its partners becomes Bâtonnier of the Geneva Bar Association.
