Nino Maspoli takes on new general counsel role at Zurich Insurance

Nino Maspoli (pictured) has been appointed General Counsel Data, Technology, Operations & IP at Zurich Insurance, based in Zurich, Switzerland. He announced the move on Linkedin. According to his profile, he took up the role in September 2026.

Maspoli joined Zurich Insurance in May 2023 as head legal data transformation and subsequently became head legal data and digital. His work at the group has covered data privacy, digital projects, AI and technology implementation.

Before joining Zurich Insurance, Maspoli held legal roles focused on technology, data and privacy at Vontobel. Earlier in his career, he was a compliance officer and deputy data protection officer at SIX, and a law clerk at the See/Oberland public prosecutor’s office in Switzerland.
