NKF advises EMZ on the sale of ASSEPRO to Ardonagh

ASSEPRO group has been sold to The Ardonagh Group, a UK independent insurance distribution platform. Niederer Kraft Frey has advised EMZ on the sale.

EMZ is an European investment firm which activities are focus on backing founders, family shareholders and management teams from its offices in Paris and Munich. Its current 10 fund exceeds EUR 1.2 billion in size with investment tickets ranging from EUR 25 to EUR 150 million per transaction. EMZ invested alongside, amongst other, the ASSEPRO management team and employees in January 2021.

Regarding ASSEPRO, it’s a renowned independent insurance broker for small and medium-sized enterprises in Switzerland. Its 300 employees work across 24 locations offering a variety of services including general insurance, pensions, and legal advice. It is also an important insurance broker for physician’s insurance in Austria. Since 2017, ASSEPRO has successfully acquired and integrated over 20 businesses, supporting its expansion across Europe.
