NKF with Transgourmet Ibérica on Moyà Saus acquisition
Niederer Kraft Frey (NKF) advised Spanish food and hospitality distribution company Transgourmet Ibérica on its acquisition of Mallorca-based food distributor Moyà Saus.
The completion of the transaction is pending approval from Spain’s National Authority for Markets and Competition (CNMC).
The buyer
Transgourmet Ibérica is part of the Swiss Coop Group, and operates across Switzerland, Germany, France, Austria, Poland, Romania, and its home market of Spain, employing over 30,000 people and generating a net income of approximately CHF 11.6 billion.
The Coop Group is active in the retail sector, as well as in production and wholesale. Transgourmet Ibérica accounts for the Group’s entire wholesale activity. Across all its divisions, the Group employs over 95,000 people and records net sales of approximately CHF 34.6 billion.
