Oberson Abels strenghtens cross-functional expertise with two new counsels
Ariane Michellod Berney & Marie-Frédérique Lamy are Oberson Abels’ newly appointed counsel. The French-speaking law firm has formalised the decision on January 1st, 2025.
Ariane Michellod Berney
As a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), and part of OA’s Inheritance and estate planning team since 2022, Ariane Michellod Berney is a trusted advisor for both individuals and families on inheritance matters, Swiss and international estate planning, and legal trusts. She’s also involved in philanthropic causes and non-profit-organizations.
Her academic record includes an LL.M in International and Comparative Law from the National University of Singapore. She’s been admitted to the Geneva Bar in 2000.
Marie-Frédérique Lamy
Marie-Frédérique Lamy joined OA in 2013. Throughout her career at the firm, she has supported individuals and multinational corporations in matters of foreign nationals and nationality law. An expert in executive transfers, Lamy also provides a clientele vastly composed by high-net-worth individuals with advice on establishing legal residence in Switzerland. She has been a key player in the development of these areas at Oberson Abels, and was one of the main contributors in the creation of an ad-hoc immigration team.
A graduate at the Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, Marie-Frédérique Lamy holds law degrees from the Catholic University of Louvain and the University of Geneva
