Schellenberg Wittmer advised Swisscanto on Series B financing of Distran

Schellenberg Wittmer advised Swisscanto Private Equity in the CHF 8.3 million Series B financing of the renowned innovator in ultrasonic camera technology Distran, an ETH Zürich spin-off.

The funding will be deployed to fuel the company’s growth and advance its cutting-edge ultrasonic camera technology, as well as diversify its product portfolio and tap into new markets.

Founded in 2013 in Zürich, Distran is the world leading ultrasonic camera manufacturer. Having invented the world’s first ultrasonic camera in 2013, the company has a growing distribution network. Currently, cameras are being used in more than 40 countries. Distran’s team is composed of 50 people, including several field experts, former plant managers, and former commissioning engineers.

The Schellenberg Wittmer team consisted of partner Christoph Vonlanthen (overall lead, pictured), Alexander Zundel and Melina Suter (corporate/m&a), as well as Lorenza Ferrari Hofer and Alisa Zehner (Intellectual Property).
