Schellenberg Wittmer advises Arole Holding on the sale of Conforama

Schellenberg Wittmer has advised Arole Holding, the acquisition structure controlled by Swiss entrepreneur and investor Dan Mamane, on the divestiture of Conforama Switzerland to XXXLutz. The transaction was approved by the Swiss competition authority.

XXXLutz is further expanding its market position in the country taking over Conforma Switzerland. With over 370 furniture stores in 13 European countries, the Austrian furnitureone is one of the three largest furniture retailers worldwide. The Austrian group had only entered the Swiss market in 2018 with a branch in Rothrist. In 2019, the group took over Möbel Pfister, in 2020 it bought six Interio shops and converted them into Mömax shops. Finally, in 2021, the company expanded its Swiss presence with the Lipo takeover.
