Schellenberg Wittmer advises BNP on Equinix Swiss bond debut

Schellenberg Wittmer has advised BNP Paribas (Suisse) in the placement of Equinix‘ debut Swiss bond issuance. BNP Paribas (Suisse) acted as Swiss paying agent and, together with Deutsche Bank London branch, acting through Deutsche Bank Zurich branch, as joint lead managers in the successful placement of CHF 300 million 2.875% bonds due 2028 issued by Equinix Europe 1 Financing Corporation. The bonds are guaranteed by Equinix. 

Schellenberg Wittmer‘s team consisted of partner Philippe Borens (overall lead, pictured) and also included Fabio ElsenerDominic Waelchli (all capital markets) as well as Roland Wild and Tabea Elmer (taxation). Simpson Thacher & Bartlett acted as US counsel to BNP Paribas (Suisse). Homburger and Davis Polk & Wardwell acted as counsel to the issuer and the guarantor.
