Schellenberg Wittmer advises Marubeni on Tolus Group acquisition
Schellenberg Wittmer advised Marubeni Corporation, a Japanese trading and investment company, on the acquisition of Tolus Group, a Swiss company active in the sale and maintenance of CNC high-precision machine tools.
Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer acted as international lead counsel to the Marubeni.
The parties
Tolus Group sells and maintains CNC high-precision machine tools, peripheral equipment and automation systems in Switzerland and Austria, serving the manufacture of products for the luxury watches and jewellery, medical technology, and industrial technology markets.
Marubeni operates across a range of global business activities including infrastructure, energy, metals and mineral resources, chemicals, and food.
