Schellenberg Wittmer advises Obi on Swiss stores takeover
Schellenberg Wittmer advised German retailer Obi on the takeover its Swiss store line-up from former franchise partner Migros.
Following the transaction, Obi Group takes over the entire Swiss store fleet, previously contracted-out to franchise partner Migros, with the further addition of a new Obi-labeled location in Ticino.
Globally active in the mass distribution of bricolage and gardening equipment, Obi has also expanded its presence across Switzerland through the acquisition of two large Do it + Garden stores in the western region of country.
