Schellenberg Wittmer advises vendors on the merger of Quantis with BCG

International environmental and sustainability consultancy Quantis has been purchased by Boston Consulting Group. The move comes as the strategy giant looks to bolster its sustainability credentials and aid clients with the transition to net zero.

Quantis was founded in 2006 and has since grown to more than 250 environmental experts and transformation specialists primarily based in Europe and the U.S. Quantis will retain its brand, operating out of offices in Switzerland, France, Germany, Italy and US. By becoming part of BCG, the firm hopes to increase its international reach, assisting clients around the world to shape policies, practices and business models aligned with net zero goals. The firm will also hold onto its original leadership team.

Schellenberg Wittmer has acted as lead counsel to the shareholders in the cross-border sale of sustainability consultancy Quantis International to BCG. The  team was lead by partner Christoph Vonlanthen (overall lead, pictured)), and consisted of partner Tarek Houdrouge, counsel Philippe Nicod, associate Kevin Laurent, associate Sophie Bastardoz and trainee Agathe Perron (all corporate/m&a), Jean-Frédéric Maraia and Lena-Marie Clodong (tax), as well as David Mamane and Amalie Wijesundera (competition).
